Marcel is 8, and he has a broken arm, a head injury and burns on his legs. He was on his way home from school when suddenly he heard “a big noise, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed me up.” He was buried under a massive pile of rubble, but he and two other boys were luckily trapped in an air pocket, and after a day of digging, his mother and friends were able to pull him to safety.
