BEST SHOW TO MAKE YOU HATE PAM ANDERSON EVEN MORE
Girl on the Loose
BY AMANDA LETH, SENIOR STAFF WRITER

Don't flip to "Pam: Girl on the Loose" expecting to see another one of E!'s usual reality shows, which mostly consist of fame-hungry wannabes that will do anything to keep their faces in the spotlight.

Unlike "Keeping up with the Kardashians," another E! concoction that doesn't run short on entertainment — but does run short on reality — "Girl on the Loose" is hardcore.

Its grainy '70s-style footage adds an artistic feel, and the show itself doesn't look the least bit scripted. But that also means there is a three-and-a-half minute segment where we have to watch Pam Anderson and her limo driver find a way into the airport when the main road is closed off — boring.

BEST PLACE TO GET A HOME-COOKED MEAL NEAR CAMPUS
Maggiano's Little Italy

Instead of searching for Bigfoot — which they seem to do every week — this week's "MonsterQuest" investigated vampires in America. If you are looking for a good home-cooked meal without the forced family fun, Maggiano's Little Italy offers home-style Italian entrees, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. Black-and-white photos are hung sporadically throughout the restaurant and each table is set with a red-and-white tablecloth. The menu is filled with fresh salads, homemade pastas, and delicious desserts.

The highlight of this episode was watching the three-way kidney transplant surgery. A wife needed a kidney transplant and the husband wasn't a proper match. They teamed up with two other couples who were in the same situation. Each person had a match, and they all swapped kidneys — oddly romantic.
